Take your address off
the Swedish internet.
the Swedish internet.
Your home address, phone number, and every place you've ever lived is publicly listed on at least six websites right now. Here's how to remove it — for free, in under 35 minutes.

Why I made this. When I started building a public presence online — as a creator and founder — I realised that anyone who found my content could Google my name and get my home address. That felt like an unnecessary risk I hadn't chosen to take. Swedish law makes personal data from Skatteverket publicly available, and a number of websites pull it automatically. They're not doing anything illegal. But you can opt out of each one, for free, without a lawyer. This checklist walks you through all six, step by step.
- 1Go directly to hitta.se/kontakta-oss/ta-bort-kontaktsida — this takes you straight to the removal page.
- 2Search your name to find your listing, then select it.
- 3Click "Begär borttagning" (Request removal) and verify with BankID.
- 4Removal is instant after verification.
- 1Go directly to ratsit.se/tabort/bankid — this is Ratsit's dedicated removal page.
- 2Click "Ta bort mina uppgifter" and verify with BankID.
- 3You'll receive confirmation by email within a few minutes.
- 1Go to uppdatera.eniro.se/person.
- 2Sign in with BankID.
- 3Click "Ta Bort" to remove your listing.
- 1Go to merinfo.se/ta-bort-mina-uppgifter. No account needed.
- 2Sign in with BankID.
- 3You'll see two options. Click "Ta bort mig helt" (Remove me completely) — not the option to update or change your details.
- 4Your full profile will be removed, including your address.
- 1Go to mrkoll.se/om/andra-uppgifter.
- 2Sign in with BankID and follow the instructions to request removal of your details.
- 3Some entries are hidden immediately, others take 24–48 hours.
- 1Go to app.minauppgifter.se/sites/xk9m2 — this is the MinaUppgifter opt-out page specifically for Birthday.se.
- 2Search for your name and find your listing.
- 3Submit your opt-out request. Verify with BankID if prompted.

Set a 6-month reminder. If you move address, Skatteverket updates the public register — and these sites pull from it again automatically. You'll need to re-do this process. Add a recurring calendar reminder so it doesn't catch you off guard.
